New Delhi. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has set a new example of success in the field of space. ISRO has also successfully completed the final landing experiment (LEX) of the reusable launch vehicle (RLV). This is the third consecutive successful test of the LEX (03) technology series. In this, the launch vehicle’s ‘ability to land on its own’ was tested.
The test was conducted at 07:10 am at the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) in Chitradurga, Karnataka. ISRO said in a statement that the LEX-03 mission was successful in ‘more challenging release conditions and higher winds’ than LEX-02. As part of the experiment, the winged vehicle named ‘Pushpak’ was dropped from an altitude of 4.5 km from the Indian Air Force’s Chinook helicopter.
