The results of the assembly elections of five states are out. The Congress has been wiped out in Punjab and the Aam Aadmi Party has won a thumping victory. In the remaining 4 states, the Bharatiya Janata Party has hit the ground. After the election results, once again the leaders of the Congress party have come to the media and have given their same old stereotyped response.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said in his response that he humbly accepts the decision of the people. Extending best wishes to those who won the mandate, he said thank you to all Congress workers and volunteers for their hard work and dedication. He said that we will learn from this defeat and will continue to work for the interests of the people of India.
On the other hand, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said in his reaction to the media on behalf of the party that there has been success in reviving the Congress in Uttar Pradesh but we could not convert that public opinion into seats. We fought better elections in Uttarakhand and Goa but could not win the hearts of the people and could not reach the victory figures. He said the election results in five states were against the expectations of the Congress. We expected better results in Uttarakhand, Goa and Punjab, but we accept that we failed to get the blessings of the people. Randeep Surjewala said that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has decided that they will convene a meeting of the Congress Working Committee very soon and do a comprehensive brainstorming on the reasons for all these defeats and the elections to the five states.
Another user said that it is harmful to oppose every decision of the ruling party and do more politics than necessary in all the work. Catch the pulse of the people and move away from the politics of protest. Another Gurjar took a jibe at Rahul that, ‘Brother, if your family leaves Congress, Congress will be benefited.’ On the other hand, another person said on Rahul Gandhi’s statement that when you will learn, brother, when you learn, tell everyone!
Another user wrote that until you people do not understand the difference between a real worker and a sycophant, this will continue to happen to you. Scindia in Madhya Pradesh and Sachin Pilot in Rajasthan worked on the ground but you imposed Kamal Nath and Gehlot on the people. One user said that to tell the truth, do you even churn or not. Or prepare to lose the next election. I have heard the same reaction after the results of four assemblies including 2013 Delhi. There is a valid reason for defeat but you people are not able to reach or rather do not want to know.
Well, whatever people say, if the Congress party has to come back into the mainstream of power now, then it will have to push the grassroots workers and refrain from making political strategy sitting in air condition. On the very second day of the declaration of the results of the 5 assembly elections, it can be seen that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Gujarat and has started public relations. This is the way politicians and political parties stay connected with the common people. Congress also has to establish its direct relationship with the common people. Merely being active before the election and then switching to the background is not the solution to the problem. Let us see what is the performance of the Congress party in the Gujarat assembly elections after a few months? Lest it also get the same result as it has come now and the same reaction of the Congress party as it has come now.
