New Delhi. All three agricultural laws have now been repealed. Despite this, politics on the issue of farmers is not taking its name to stop. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been continuously demanding compensation to the families of the farmers killed in the agitation. They say that they do not know why the central government is ashamed to give compensation to the families of martyrs.
Why are you ashamed to pay compensation?
Actually, today Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference. During this, he fiercely surrounded the government on the issue of farmers. He said that when PM Modi has accepted his mistake in bringing the Agriculture Act, then what is the shame in giving compensation to the families of martyr farmers.
PM has numbers to his industrialist friends
Rahul Gandhi says that the government is saying in Parliament, they have no data on how many farmers have been killed in the agitation so far. PM Modi only has the numbers of his industrialist friends. Rahul Gandhi said that we have a list of 403 farmers killed during the agitation, to whom the Congress government of Punjab has given a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to their families. Not only this, the Punjab government has also given jobs to the families of 152 of them.
Rahul Gandhi said that we have a list of 100 names from other states and there is a third list, which also has public information about the names. If the government asks, we will hand over this list to them and the government will be able to easily verify the names given in this list. But the government should promise that compensation will be given to the families of these farmers.
Let us inform that these days the winter session of Parliament is going on. In this, the government is raising the issues of farmers prominently. The Congress had recently demanded compensation to the families of the food donors killed in the farmers’ agitation. In response to this, the Agriculture Minister said in Parliament that we do not have any data for this, so we cannot give compensation to the farmers.

It is worth noting that for almost a year, the farmers were protesting against the agricultural laws. After this, the central government announced the cancellation of these laws. The government introduced a bill related to this in Parliament on the very first day of the winter session, which was passed. At the same time, the President has also given his signature on this bill.
