Rain wreaked havoc in Jaisalmer, flood situation, know how the weather will be today


Jaipur. Rajasthan, which has been battling heavy monsoon rains for a long time, has got relief from it for the time being. But before this, torrential rains in Ramdevra and Nachana areas of Jaisalmer district of western Rajasthan on Saturday created havoc. This led to flood-like conditions there. The continuous rain there for two days on and off has brought fear to the local residents. The Meteorological Department has predicted no rain anywhere in the entire state today.

According to the Meteorological Department, from today onwards, rain activities will weaken in the entire state. Due to this, there are chances of sunshine. There may be sporadic rain in some areas in the next four-five days. There may be heavy rain at some places in Udaipur and Kota divisions on 22 and 23 August. After that, rain activities will increase further in these two divisions on 24 and 25 August.

Rajasthan’s temperature remains below 36 degrees
Despite the rains stopping, the temperature of the state is still below 36 degrees. On Saturday, the highest temperature of 35.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Dholpur. Due to heavy rains, the temperature in Jaisalmer settled at 28.4 degrees. Due to heavy rains in various areas of the state in the past few days, many areas are still waterlogged. Although it is gradually decreasing now, but due to this people are facing problems in commuting.

Due to the rain in the last two days in Ramdevra and Nachana areas of Jaisalmer district, rivers started flowing in the dunes. People got scared seeing the inflow of water due to heavy rain and the administration was left breathless. In the lower areas including Bhil Basti and Naya Basti of Ramdevra, 2 to 3 feet of rainwater accumulated around the houses. The Sanskrit school was completely surrounded by water. Later, other officials including SDM and Tehsildar reached there with JCB and somehow provided relief to the people there. The fields and barns of these two areas also got submerged in water.
