Raipur (Naiduniya Representative). To improve its financial condition, Raipur Municipal Corporation has set a target of collecting revenue of two hundred crore rupees by the end of March. In any case, a team of officers of the corporation has been formed to fulfill this goal. Along with the officers of the Revenue Department, the entire staff has been continuously prepared to collect user charges along with property tax.

Corporation Commissioner Prabhat Malik has clearly told the officers that in any case, the target of 200 crore revenue collection is to be completed by the month of March. The expected results are not being achieved this year as compared to last year. Instructions have been given not to lax on recovery of user charges along with outstanding property tax.
18 crores has been recovered from big defaulters
Municipal Commissioner Prabhat Malik said that continuous efforts are being made to improve the financial condition of the corporation. Out of Rs 24 crore, Rs 18 crore has been recovered on big defaulters. Only Rs.6 crore is yet to be recovered. It will also be recovered by the end of March. The defaulters have been warned in advance that if they do not pay by March, the arrears will be recovered by imposing a surcharge of 17 per cent.
Displeasure over slow pace of OBC, EWS survey
Here, along with recovery of crores of outstanding revenue of Raipur Municipal Corporation, the Corporation Commissioner is very angry with the officials for the slow pace of the OBC, EWS survey. In the review meeting of the officers, he bluntly said that no excuse will work. Complete the given target as soon as possible, otherwise action will be taken against those responsible.
Corporation commissioner reviewed various works
Taking a meeting of the officers of the corporation regarding various works, the commissioner reviewed the works of backward classes, survey of people coming in poverty line, Swachh Bharat Mission campaign, Godhan Nyay Yojana, residence pass scheme. At the same time, he was also angry about the collection of revenue. In this meeting, Additional Commissioner Abhishek Agarwal, Sunil Chandravanshi Arvind Sharma, along with all ten zones, Zone Commissioner, Revenue Officer and five other concerned officers were present.
Surcharge will increase every day
The big defaulters have been paying the dues till now to avoid surcharge. This is the reason why 18 crore has been recovered. Those who will not pay till March, will be recovered by adding 17 percent surcharge on the outstanding amount. After this, the surcharge will be increased by five percent in April and a total of 24 percent surcharge will be added in the month of May. It is expected that the recovery will speed up in the coming days. Those defaulters who do not pay their property, have been warned of attachment.
