Sikar. Three women were killed and three others were injured in a stampede this morning at the famous Khatu Shyam temple in Sikar, Rajasthan. There was a stampede in the temple when the doors were opened there in the morning. Today being Putrada Ekadashi, there is a huge crowd of devotees here for the last two days. Thankfully, not many people were injured in the stampede. It is being told that as soon as the doors of the temple opened, the crowd became desperate to go inside. Because of this, the women there fell down and were crushed under the feet of other people.
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has expressed grief by tweeting on this accident. He has asked the local administration to provide better medical treatment to all the injured. Along with this, a report has also been sought after investigating the reasons for the stampede. Please tell that Khatu Shyam temple is more crowded during festivals than on other days. Khatu Shyam is also considered to be the form of Lord Krishna and devotees also believe that he is a living deity in Kali Yuga.
The death of 3 women devotees due to stampede in Khatushyam ji’s temple in Sikar is very sad and unfortunate. My deepest sympathies are with the bereaved family, may God give them strength to bear this loss and may the departed soul rest in peace.

Khatu Shyam is actually called Barbarika, the warrior of Mahabharata war. The head of Barbarik is worshiped in this temple. According to the legend of Mahabharata, Barbarika was a great warrior and was coming to take part in the Mahabharata war. At the same time Lord Krishna asked him for his head. Brave Barbarika gave his head to God. Which God placed on a high mound. It is believed that Barbarik saw the entire war of Mahabharata with his severed head. Devotees from all over the country and abroad come here because of their faith. Devotees also believe that their wishes are definitely fulfilled here.
