Five teams will participate in MPL
Madhya Pradesh League Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ravi Patankar said during a press conference in Indore that all the matches of this new league will be played with white ball from June 15 to June 23 at Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association’s International Stadium in Gwalior. Patankar said that we want that through our league, cricket talents from different regions of the state get a big platform to show their abilities.

In the first season of Madhya Pradesh League, five teams from different regions of the state will participate. These teams include Malwa Panthers, Gwalior Cheetahs, Rewa Jaguars, Bhopal Leopards and Jabalpur Lions. Ravi Patankar said that the number of teams is expected to increase in the second season of MPL. Malwa Panthers has appointed IPL star batsman Rajat Patidar as captain. Patidar said that I know many players from the state who have the ability to play international matches. They will be helped to progress through MPL.
Won many matches for RCB team
Rajat Patidar plays for RCB in domestic cricket. At the same time, he is a part of the RCB team in IPL. He has won many matches for the RCB team on his own. He is famous for explosive batting and changes the course of the match in just a few balls. He has scored 799 runs in 15 IPL matches so far, including a century and 7 half-centuries. In IPL 2024, he scored 395 runs in 15 matches. The RCB team had traveled till the eliminator, but the team had to face defeat against Rajasthan Royals.
