The name of these brave warriors, popularly known as Rana Sanga, was Maharana Sangram Singh, who was the grandson of Rana Kumbha and the son of Rana Raimal. Maharana Sangram Singh was a fierce Rajput king who was known for his courage and bravery. Born on 12 April 1482, Rana belonged to the Sisodia dynasty of Rajputs. He fought a war of succession with his brothers, after which he ascended the throne of Mewar in the year 1508. He ruled for 20 years. The Rana was the last ruler of medieval India, who re-established several Rajput kingdoms. Despite losing an arm and an eye during the war, he faced the foreign invaders bravely. Battle of Khatoli
This war was fought by Rana against Ibrahim Lodi in 1518. This battle was fought for five hours near Khatoli village on the borders of Harvati (Harauti). In which Lodi left the battlefield after conceding defeat. During this battle, Rana lost one hand and one eye.
Battle of Khanwa
The battle of Khanwa is considered to be the second most important battle after the battle of Panipat, in which he fought with Babur by gathering many other Rajput kings. The Rajputs were defeated in this war that lasted for several days. After this, Rana died on 30 January in the year 1958. It is said that their cooks mixed poison in their food.
