Ranchi. Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren is now embroiled in a new controversy after getting involved in the case of taking the lease of the mine. The matter is of 11 acres of industrial land. It is alleged that Soren gave this land to his wife. The land is in Bijupara area of Ranchi. The allegations are serious because CM Hemant Soren himself looks after the Ministry of Industries. BJP has sought answers from Hemant Soren and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha JMM in this matter. Earlier, Soren was allotted the mine lease in Ranchi itself and the letter of intent was issued in June last year. The matter went to the Jharkhand High Court. On April 8, during the hearing in the court, Jharkhand government’s lawyer Rajiv Ranjan had said that the government made a mistake and the lease has been returned.
BJP leader and former CM Raghuvar Das told the media on Hemant Soren’s allotment of industrial land to his wife that Soren himself looks after the industries department and has misused his position to give land in Bijupara. He also alleged that CM’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra and media advisor Abhishek Prasad have also obtained leases of mines in Jharkhand. Das said government records show that Abhishek took the lease of the mine in the name of Shivshakti Enterprise Company in Sahebganj district on April 8, 2021. Then also invested 90 lakhs in it. At the same time, Pankaj Mishra was also given a mine lease in the name of Mahakal Stone Company in Sahebganj.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha spokesperson Supriya Bhattacharya said that we will answer these allegations of BJP. This answer can be given by the party today or tomorrow. However, it is certain that like the mine issue, the matter of giving industrial land is also likely to go to court and the Hemant Soren government is likely to suffer in this.
