Kolkata. The family members have alleged rape and murder of another girl in Nadia district of West Bengal. This is the case of Dhantala. The girl was a minor. She was found hanging at her relative’s house. The girl’s father has alleged that after raping his daughter, she was murdered. Earlier, in the Hanshkhali area of Nadia, the TMC leader’s son and his friends were accused of gang-raping the girl. That girl too had died. The Calcutta High Court has given the investigation of Hanshkhali case to the CBI.
Regarding the incident in Dhantala, the police say that the investigation is going on on the complaint of the girl’s father. According to the police, the girl was about 15 years old. Her father has alleged that the relative raped and killed her. In this case, the police have taken 4 people into custody. However, the police is not saying whether the people he has taken into custody are accused or not. According to a police officer, the postmortem of the girl’s body has been done, but her father is not satisfied with it. The local court has allowed the application for re-postmortem.
Meanwhile, no statement has come from CM Mamata Banerjee or the ruling Trinamool on this second incident in Nadia. Earlier, Mamta had raised questions on the Hanshkhali incident. Mamta had said at that time that the accusers should tell how to know that this is a case of rape. Mamta had also said that the girl may already be pregnant. He had also said that if a boy-girl is in a relationship, then how can the government stop physical relations between them.
