510 kg stone is worth 10 thousand crores in the international market
The fate of a man living in Sri Lanka changed overnight when laborers found a precious stone while digging a well in the house. The weight of this sapphire stone found from the person’s house was 510 kg, which is worth $100 million in the international market. According to the National Gem and Jewelery Authority of Sri Lanka, bids are being made by foreign countries for the purchase of this 510 kg stone. A merchant dealing in such precious stones told that during the excavation of the house, this stone was found from behind the house.
This stone has been found in Ratnapura city of Sri Lanka. Which is also known as Gem City of Sri Lanka. Even before this many precious stones have been found in this city. The sapphire stone found from the person’s house has been named as Serandipiti Sapphire. Dr Gamag, from whose house this stone was found, said that when he was earning excavation at his house, only then a laborer came and informed him about this stone. He told that it will take about a year to clean the stone, after which its analysis was started.
During the cleaning of the stone, some pieces of sapphire had fallen from it. When they were analyzed, it was found that it is a highly valuable stone. The representative of NGJA said that this is a special sapphire, which may be the largest sapphire stone in the world. This sapphire stone is 100 cm long, 72 cm wide and 50 cm high. Let us tell you that Sri Lanka is the exporting country of sapphire stones and other precious diamonds in the world.
For security reasons, Dr. Gamag did not reveal his name and address. Dr. Gamag said that he himself also deals in precious stones. It was clarified by NGJA that this stone belongs to Dr. Gamag. Because the stone was found from their property. However, for security reasons, he has been kept in a safe in the Bank of Ceylon.
