According to the report, soon you may also see the picture of Rabindra Nath Tagore and Missile Man APJ Abdul Kalam on the notes. It was told that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is considering to bring notes with photographs of these personalities along with Mahatma Gandhi.
RBI said – no proposal
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has now issued its statement on reports that the central bank is contemplating a change in the current currency and preparations are on to change the face of Mahatma Gandhi among others. The Reserve Bank of India has said that there is no such proposal to make any changes in the existing Indian currency and banknotes and such things are mere speculations.
