Islamabad. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is set to share a letter which he claims contains evidence of a ‘foreign funded conspiracy’ to topple his government during a March 27 rally by PTI. Claiming to have evidence of foreign forces to topple his government, Pakistani PM Khan is about to share this letter with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandiyal. According to Dawn’s report, Federal Minister Asad Umar gave this information on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad with Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Planning and Development Minister Omar said that he himself has seen the letter, if anyone has any doubts, ‘the Prime Minister is ready.. He thought we would be the head of the Supreme Court. Can share with the judge.’
He said, “Obviously, this is the highest office of justice in Pakistan, it is a very high position, which is respected in this country. Even personally, the Chief Justice has a very good reputation. The Prime Minister has said that the country has a great reputation. On behalf of him, if required and to the satisfaction of the people, he is ready to present this letter before the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.”
According to the Dawn report, the minister said that the letter predates the motion of no confidence in the National Assembly.
The minister further said, “This is a very worrying matter and it is important, because the no-confidence motion is clearly mentioned in this letter. There is no ambiguity that the no-confidence motion is being talked about.”
Omar further said that the letter states that if Imran Khan continues to be the Prime Minister, it will have “terrible consequences”.
He said the ‘threat’ that PM Imran talked about during his address on March 27 about the relevance of the letter is ‘directly linked to the no-confidence motion’.
PM Imran Khan had said during his address, “Attempts are being made to change the government in Pakistan through foreign money. Our people are being used. Mostly unknowingly, but some people are using money against us.” We have been threatened in writing but we will not compromise on national interest.”
Omar further said that the letter has been shared only with the top civilian and military leadership and some members of the federal cabinet.
