New Delhi. BRS leader’s daughter Kavita has got a big shock, her bail plea in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam has been rejected by the Rouse Avenue Court. Both the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had opposed Kavita’s bail plea. She is accused of allegedly taking bribes worth around Rs 100 crore. ED interrogated Kavita for a long time in Delhi liquor scam. According to reports, Kavitha faced ED questions based on the statements of Hyderabad-based businessman and accused in the case, Arun Ramachandran Pillai, with whom she allegedly has close relations.
According to the ED, Pillai represented an alleged liquor cartel, ‘South Group’, which allegedly paid bribes to AAP to gain a significant share in the market under the Delhi Excise Policy for 2020-21. Kavita used at least ten phones. Kavita allegedly used at least ten phones in 2021 and 2022, raising suspicions that this was done to destroy digital evidence and thwart the investigation. According to the ED, she was an active participant in the scam and had allegedly revealed her business practices by bribing her associates Pillai, Babu and others.

BRS leader Kavita is the daughter of former CM KCR. ED raided his residence in Hyderabad. After the arrest, Kavita was brought to Delhi. It is noteworthy that Delhi CM Kejriwal is also in Tihar jail in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. Aam Aadmi Party is on target of opposition parties regarding Delhi Liquor Policy issue and its leaders are under question. However, AAP leaders continued to deny the party’s involvement in the scam.
