The heart-wrenching incident took place in front of Axis Bank at a chowk of Nagar police station area. Madhubani police told that Rs 39 lakh was going in LIC’s cash van. On getting information about this, five miscreants riding bikes reached the spot. He committed robbery and murder at gunpoint. He carried out this theft incident in just 45 seconds.

The incident was captured in a nearby CCTV camera. Police is now looking for the accused on the basis of CCTV. Madhubani police said the cash van contained Rs 14 lakh from LIC’s Benipatti branch and Rs 25 lakh from the main branch. As the driver approached Axis Bank, the criminals immediately attacked him and robbed him.

They looted the money from the van and shot the guard. After the incident, the miscreants also fired several rounds. Due to which panic spread in the surrounding area. Police has sent the dead body of the deceased guard for post-mortem. Raids are being conducted to nab the miscreants. The incident of robbery outside the bank is raising questions on the security system.
