After increasing the Dearness Allowance of the employees by 3 percent by the Central Government, now the state governments have also started increasing the dearness allowance of their employees. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced an increase of 3% dearness allowance. After this decision of the state government, the dearness allowance of the state employees of the Rajasthan government has increased to 34 percent. Along with the employees in the state, pensioners will also get the benefit of this decision of the state government. On this occasion, CM Ashok Gehlot said that “Dearness allowance of state government employees and pensioners has been increased in line with the employees of the Centre.
34% dearness allowance will be available from January 2022: Till now, the dearness allowance was given only 31 percent by the state government. According to the spokesperson of the state government, the employees and pensioners will get the benefit of this increase from January 1, 2022. This decision of the Gehlot government will directly benefit 8 lakh government employees and 4.4 lakh pensioners of the state. Apart from this, the employees of Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad will also get the benefit of increase in dearness allowance. This decision of the government will put a burden of Rs 1434 crore on the state exchequer.
Uttarakhand government took the decision to increase the pension:The Uttarakhand government has made a slip to increase the government pension to senior, widow and disabled citizens from Rs 1200 per month to Rs 1400 per month. At the same time, on March 29, the government had issued an order, after which the old age pension in Uttarakhand will now be available to both husband and wife. Uttarakhand BJP termed this decision of Chief Minister Puskar Singh Dhami as historic and said that the state government is fulfilling its promise made to the people.
According to news agency PTI, Uttarakhand state media in-charge Manveer Chauhan said that the state government has started fulfilling the promises made to the public from day one. The Dhami government has constituted a powerful committee in the first cabinet to prepare the draft of the Uniform Civil Code. It is further said that lakhs of people will get the benefit of the increase in the pension of senior, widow and disabled by the state government.
Earlier, the dearness allowance of central employees was increased by 3 percent by the central government. After this decision of the Center, the dearness allowance of the employees has increased to 34 percent.
