To prevent the daughter-in-law from defecating in the open, the women of the village organized a unique running competition.
A unique running competition was organized in a village called Pasa Aye in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In this running competition, all the elderly women of the village organized a special running competition with lota in hand to give a special message to their daughters-in-law. In fact, even after having toilets in the houses, the daughter-in-law of the village used to go for open defecation. In such a situation, her mother-in-law took this unique initiative to make her understand about it.
Through this unique race all the women competed with each other to convince their daughters-in-law. All the women participating in the competition were in the age group of 50 to 60 years. After covering a distance of 50 meters, all the women at the winning point threw their lotuses and advised their daughters-in-law not to defecate in the open. All the women said that their daughters-in-law used to go to the fields and forests even after having toilets in the house.
Women explained to their daughter-in-law that defecating in the open not only spoils their reputation but also causes many diseases. In this unique running event held on Tuesday, Radha Prajapati came first, while Manjuben came second and Arpita Prajapati came third. According to the District Panchayat Officer, this competition was organized to remove the hesitation between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
