Tajinder Pal Bagga case is not taking the name of calm. Along with this, the difficulties of the Punjab government are also not taking the name of lessening. National Commission for Minorities Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura has sought a report from Punjab Chief Secretary within 7 days on the allegations of attack on Tajinder Bagga’s father and for allegedly not allowing Bagga to wear his turban. The National Commission for Minorities has itself taken cognizance of the matter.
National Commission for Minorities Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura, while talking to news agency ANI, said, “National Commission for Minorities has taken suo motu cognizance of media reports in which it was told that Tajinder Bagga was allegedly arrested at the time of his arrest on May 6. He was not allowed to wear his turban. This is a serious allegation and a violation of the religious rights of a Sikh person.”
In a letter to the Chief Secretary of the Punjab Government, the National Commission for Minorities has sought a reply from the Chief Secretary, Punjab Government. For this, the National Commission for Minorities has given 7 days to the Punjab Government. That is, by May 14, the Punjab government will have to submit this report to the National Commission for Minorities. The National Commission for Minorities will take further action after seeing the report.
