Incidents like snatching in Delhi have become common in the national capital of the country. Till now its people have been the victim of these miscreants. But now leaders and ministers have also come in the grip of miscreants. In fact, on Monday evening, when senior BJP leader and former minister Vijay Goel was coming from Daryaganj, his phone was snatched by a miscreant in Kotwali area of North Delhi.
According to the information, BJP leader and former minister Vijay Goel was going towards Red Fort from Daryaganj on Monday evening. Meanwhile, his car was stopped at a traffic signal and he was talking to someone on the phone. Then a miscreant came from behind on foot and snatched his phone and fled.
Soon after the incident, the PSO of BJP leader Vijay Goel also chased to nab the miscreant, but he got away. As soon as the matter came to light, there was a stir among the officials. When CCTV footage was scanned in the area related to the incident, a youth was seen snatching the phone of the former minister and running away.
BJP leader and former minister Vijay Goel told that his car was stopped at a traffic signal during this incident. He said, he was in his government car and started talking on the phone by lowering the glass of the car. Meanwhile, a boy came from behind and snatched the phone and ran away. Former minister Vijay Goel said, his PSO was present in the vehicle when this incident happened.
According to the local police, the incident happened around 7 pm on Monday when the former minister was coming from Daryaganj side by car. During investigation, CCTV footage showed that the car window was slightly opened and the former minister was talking on the phone. Meanwhile, a young man has been caught in the footage while running away after snatching. After the complaint of the PSO, we have caught the youth and are investigating to recover the phone.
