In Bihar, the party has now taken a big decision regarding the factionalism going on between Janata Dal United (JDU) National President Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh and Union Minister RCP Singh. State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha has directed that now only Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s photo will be displayed on any poster and banner of the party.
For the last few days, the battle for supremacy is going on between Lalan Singh and RCP Singh faction in JDU. The supporters of both have clashed several times after seeing the pictures of their leader missing from party banners and posters. In view of this, the party has issued an order and made it clear that whatever banners, posters, pamphlets and hoardings will be printed for the promotion and promotion of the party, only CM Nitish’s picture will be there. Action will be taken against those who ignore this order on charges of anti-party activity and indiscipline.
Only Nitish Kumar, the biggest leader of the party: Umesh Singh Kushwaha said that only Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is the biggest and most recognized leader of the party. The party president, while accepting factionalism, said that the issue of which leader’s picture got a place on the posters and who did not, this issue is becoming a problem for the party.
How did this controversy start? For the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Nitish Kumar had entrusted the responsibility of forging an alliance with BJP on RCP Singh, but Lalan Singh had ridiculed him for failing in this. When RCP Singh was about to launch the party’s membership drive on the occasion of Nitish Kumar’s birthday, Lalan Singh had questioned that too, saying that the membership drive started in 2019 and will end in October this year.
At the same time, Lalan Singh had said that a decision would be taken later on when the new membership drive would be started. He had said that whenever it happens it will start only with his instructions and signature. It was only after this statement of Lalan Singh that the cold war between him and RCP Singh escalated.
