In the midst of the ongoing legal battle over the Gyanvapi Masjid in Varanasi and the Krishna Janmabhoomi case in Mathura, the statement of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has heated up politics. Regarding the Ayodhya case, the SP chief said that the idols were kept in the dark of night. He had alleged that BJP can do anything. Ram Lalla’s chief priest Mahant Satyendra Das, furious over this statement of Akhilesh Yadav, said that Ramlala had appeared on 23 December 1949 and at that time the BJP party was not even formed.
While talking to ABP News, Satyendra Das objected to Akhilesh Yadav’s statement and said, “Akhilesh Yadav is giving a false statement, as he has lost the elections at the hands of the BJP in power and the same BJP. He had a lot of desire that he would become the Chief Minister but it remained his imagination. Then he is accusing the BJP.”
The head priest of Ramlala said, “God appears in our place and the party on which these allegations are being leveled, that party did not even exist at that time. The more lies they tell, the more they will suffer. The lies they (Akhilesh Yadav) are telling will further their downfall.”
Satyendra Das also targeted Akhilesh Yadav’s father and SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav. He said, “This is the tradition of this and his father (Mulayam Singh Yadav). Everyone knows that unarmed kar sevaks were fired upon in Ayodhya. Akhilesh Yadav is the president of a party and he should not talk like this. Devotees and God should not be accused like this.”
Earlier, on Shivling found in Gyanvapi, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had said, “There was a time when idols were kept in the dark of night. BJP can do anything and can get anything done.” SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had said, “It is in our Hindu religion to place a stone anywhere, put a red flag, a temple has been built under the Peepal tree.”
