After the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are over, now there is a lot of confusion regarding the elections to the Legislative Council. BJP has released the list of 30 candidates for the MLC elections on Saturday. In this list, many leaders who left SP and joined BJP have been made candidates of MLC. BJP has nominated Narendra Bhati, Ravi Shankar Singh Pappu, Ashish Yadav, Ramchandra Pradhan for the MLC elections.
Dinesh Pratap Singh has been fielded by the BJP from Rae Bareli Local Authority. BJP has declared Ramchandra Pradhan as its candidate from Lucknow-Unnao. BJP has given tickets to Pawan Singh Chauhan from Sitapur, Anoop Gupta from Kheri, Ashok Agarwal from Hardoi, Dr Sudhir Gupta from Pilibhit-Shahjahanpur, Vagish Pathak from Badaun, Kunwar Maharaj Singh from Rampur-Bareilly and Satyapal Saini from Moradabad-Bijnor.
The BJP has announced the names of candidates for 30 out of 36 local authorities. Haripratap Singh from Pratapgarh, Angad Kumar Singh from Barabanki, Pragya Tripathi from Bahraich, Awadhesh Singh Manju from Gonda, Hariom Pandey from Faizabad, CP Chand from Gorakhpur-Maharajganj, Ratanpal Singh from Deoria and Arun Kumar Yadav from Azamgarh-Mau Local Authority BJP Has given a ticket.
BJP has fielded Ravi Shankar Singh Pappu from Ballia, Chanchal Singh has been given ticket by the party from Ghazipur. BJP has declared KP Srivastava from Allahabad, Jitendra Singh Sengar from Banda-Hamirpur, Rama Niranjan from Jhansi-Jalaun-Lalitpur, Pranshu Dutt Dwivedi from Etawah-Farrukhabad and Vijay Shivhare from Agra-Firozabad.
Apart from this, Omprakash Singh from Mathura-Etah-Mainpuri, Rishipal Singh from Aligarh, Narendra Bhati from Bulandshahr, Dharmendra Bhardwaj from Meerut-Ghaziabad and Vandana Mudit Verma from Muzaffarnagar-Saharanpur have been nominated by the BJP in the MLC elections. The date of nomination for MLC elections has been extended. Now candidates can file their nominations till March 21. Earlier, March 19 was the last date for nominations. Voting for the MLC elections will be held on April 9. The results will be declared on April 12.
