In Noida-Greater Noida, Asia’s largest airport, which is famous for the cost of the most expensive land in the country, patients of severe covid suffering from weak lungs or respiratory diseases are being pushed for treatment these days. In fact, in the government hospitals here, there is no arrangement to give oxygen under extreme pressure due to lack of ‘level three’ system.
So patients are not being admitted. Apart from this, those big private hospitals cannot provide special facilities to the patients for less money because separate arrangements would have to be made for this which also cost more. If patients go now, where should they go? Better than going to Delhi’s government hospitals, they are accepting the condition of private hospitals in the hope of breathing.
In the midst of record breaking heat, traveling in DTC buses for free for the women forced to come out on the roads of the capital is no less than fighting a war. Green buses stop anywhere and red buses have bad AC. In such a situation, the purple colored bus of the private company running in the DTC fleet has emerged as a relief for most of the women.
In the afternoon, women wait for these buses of their route at the stand and take a sigh of relief seeing the purple color. Actually the reason for this is the poor condition of DTC’s own buses. Due to which, except for the green and red buses of the route, the purple colored buses of the private company are waiting. A passenger rightly said – such a facility means only a purple colored bus.
The condition of green buses in 44-45 degree temperature is inhuman, but red buses are also gasping. The second passenger took a dig at the department, saying – you will take the extravagant ticket and the facility is not available even for the ordinary one! Most of DTC’s own buses are in dilapidated condition. This is the reason why the passengers are waiting more for the routes on which there are purple colored buses. And those relief buses are proving to be.
The Mundka incident will become a snarl for the Delhi Police to the Municipal Corporation and the Fire Department. Everyone is showing negligence here and like political parties, the round of accusations and counter-accusations is going on. But there is a hole in all the departments, even the top officials of the department themselves know that. In fact, from unauthorized construction to running unauthorized factories in Delhi, these three departments keep an eye on it. The work of the corporation ranges from giving license, no-objection certificate to firefighting and security arrangements of the police to becoming an assistant in locking down illegal activities.
Now all the three departments are exposed in the Mundka accident. The three departments blindly allowed such factories to run without valid documents and when 27 lives were lost, now they are doing their own thing by taking out instructions. It is also everyone who knows that food is being done now and it is the fault of the departments, but no one is there to speak. Even if the cost of the tears of the helpless is found later, it is too much.
Perhaps, the spectacle of politics hides the truth and teaches to see only what is advantageous in view of politics. Therefore, instead of making sensitive statements on any accident, the politics of accusation and counter-accusation is seen. Now there was a fire in Mundka, Delhi and 27 people were burnt to death. Here the job of political parties should have been to find the weaknesses of the accident and remove them. But the same thing is happening which has been happening for the last many years. That is, politics.
One party is blaming the other party in the case. With this such a sensitive and serious issue will also be forgotten after a few days. The work of public representatives is not only to reduce the difficulties, but only to issue condolence messages. The deficiencies in the departments are not being addressed. If seen, the center has the police, the Delhi government has the fire brigade and the corporation has the rules. But all the three governments are not able to see the shortcomings of their respective departments, because their political glasses are finding faults in the departments of the other government.
Garbage is a national problem, so a campaign is going on across the country regarding this. Small fights also take place in each locality and street over garbage. Recently, Bedil saw a different incident in East Delhi. Actually here in one area a big drain passes in front of people’s houses. The garbage man comes and he takes money to collect the garbage. People do not want to give it and secretly throw garbage in the same drain.
When the complaint was received, a corporation employee came to investigate and saw a woman throwing garbage. Then both of them got into an argument but instead of taking any action, the employee threw the garbage from the drain near the woman’s house. The women were no less, they returned the garbage to the drain after the employee’s departure, defying his action.
