In today’s time, cyber criminals are hunting people with the help of very unique tricks. There is no fixed age of thugs in this forgery work. One such 14-year-old thug has been arrested from Bharatpur in Rajasthan. This thug was trying to commit fraud with the help of fake Facebook profile of a district collector of Chennai. However, he was caught before he could make anyone his victim.
According to the information, this matter was reported in Chengalpet, Chennai. In this, a user was working to demand money from his friends and followers by creating a fake Facebook ID in the name of the District Collector. When the Collector came to know about this, he himself investigated the matter. In such a situation, when he found the matter suspicious, he lodged a complaint.
On the complaint of the District Collector, the Cyber Crime Police of Chengalpet tracked down that fake Facebook ID. Several days of investigation revealed that the fake ID created in the name of the collector was operating from Bharatpur in Rajasthan.
After this, the special team of Chengalpet reached Rajasthan to nab the fraudster running the ID of the fake profile. Here they found that a 14-year-old boy was behind that fake ID. Thereafter, he was arrested in the case of forgery.
District Collector AR Rahul Nath told that Rs 5,000 was demanded from one of his followers from a fake Facebook ID created in his name. That’s when he lodged a complaint with the Chengalpet police. The team that reached Bharatpur in Rajasthan caught a 14-year-old boy for creating a fake Facebook profile and demanding money from followers.
According to the Chengalpet police, the fraudster used to cheat someone that before that he was brought from Bharatpur to Chengalpet and then sent to the correctional home. Police said that in the year 2020, a similar gang was caught, who used to make fake Facebook IDs of people and demand money from their friends and followers.
