The body was disposed of by taking it on a bicycle, the special judge’s court sentenced him to death
Sagar, July 23 (IANS)| Virendra, accused of raping and killing a minor in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, has been sentenced to death by a special judge’s court. Media in-charge of Public Prosecution Saurabh Dimha and Assistant Media In-charge Amit Jain told that Virend had murdered the minor after raping him in Bodha Pipariya of Sanaudha police station. Virendra was taking the minor on a bicycle and during the same time he had thrown the dead body after committing the crime. Later the father of the deceased identified the dead body. On interrogation, Virendra confessed to the crime.
On behalf of the prosecution, Deputy Director Anil Katare argued that the act of the accused is rarest of the rarest and the accused is eligible for death penalty, in such a situation if the accused is released then he will be a danger to the society.
Considering the crime as heinous, the court in its judgment sentenced the accused Virendra Adivasi to rigorous imprisonment for seven years under section 363, 10 years of rigorous imprisonment in section 366A and section 6 read with 376(3), 376(2)(f) Punished with life imprisonment under POCSO Act and death sentence under Section 302 Id.
