Petrol and diesel prices have been increasing continuously for the last 12 days, which is affecting the budget of the people. Even today, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by 80 paise. Diesel price has crossed Rs 100 in Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, the price of petrol in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar has crossed Rs 120, while the price of diesel is beyond Rs 102. The price of petrol in Kolkata is above Rs 112 while diesel is being sold for Rs 97.

During this, the reporter asked a farmer whether farmers should get subsidy on petrol and diesel? In response, a farmer said, “Farmers should get subsidy on diesel because now it has become very expensive and the farmer is not able to drive a tractor. If this continues, then farming will become difficult.”
On the other hand, another farmer said, “The farmers will get relief only after getting the subsidy. They say that the previous governments did not do any development, I ask that if the previous governments did not do any development, then how has the country developed so much till today. While another farmer said that, ‘Government should give full facility to the farmers which it can provide, farmers should get subsidy on diesel’.
