On the lines of UP, now the politics of changing the name in the capital Delhi has intensified. Talking to a TV channel, Delhi BJP state president Adesh Gupta said, “The names of the streets of Delhi will definitely be changed and why not. The time has come to wash off the sins committed by the Congress. We are celebrating 75th anniversary of independence. Every Indian wants that our name is associated with APJ Abdul Kalam, not Aurangzeb, every Indian wants our name to be associated with Maharana Pratap, not with Akbar. Every Indian wants our name to be associated with Guru Gobind Singh, not Tughlaq.
letter written to NDMCDelhi BJP wrote a letter to NDMC on Tuesday, demanding renaming of six roads named after Mughal rulers like Akbar Road, Humayun Road in Lutyens’ Delhi. It has been written in the letter that Tughlaq Road, which is a symbol of slavery of the Mughal era, should be renamed after Shri Guru Gobind Singh Marg. Akbar Road should be renamed as Maharana Pratap Marg. Aurangzeb Lane should be renamed as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Lane, former President of India.
Adesh Gupta said that these paths should be in the name of those who have sacrificed everything for their motherland. He said- “protected the country, religion and society. We get inspiration from such great men. Foreign invaders have hurt our self-respect. Robbed our wealth, ruled our land. He can never be our role model. Congress has always done politics of appeasement”.
Adesh Gupta said on Gyanvapi issue- “Looking at the way the evidence is coming out, I think there is no reason to dispute. Nandi ji was waiting for a long time, that wait is over now. Mahadev ji has appeared”.
He said that this is not hidden from anyone and everyone knows inside history that when foreign invaders came, they broke temples to destroy our self-respect, they built religious places on it. Adesh Gupta said that there is a need to take this matter and debate in the society in a healthy way. Because in places where there is no worship, there is no worship. They were destroyed during the invasion, at such a place when religious faith is manifesting, then it should be accepted.
