After worshiping Ganesha on the eighth day of the festival, hundreds of idols are bid farewell with reverence.

Silvassa. As Anant Chaturdashi is approaching, the faith and devotion of Ganesh devotees is increasing. On Friday, the eighth day of the festival, hundreds of idols were given farewell with reverence after the Ganesh-Gauri worship.

After noon, Damanganga Ghat in Athal, Ganpati Bappa Moria…, resonated early next year… During the immersion, the devotees were seen rejoicing with abir-gulal. During the immersion rallies, the police administration made elaborate arrangements for security and management. Fire brigade personnel were also stationed on the spot for idol immersion. On the seventh day, more than 150 rides of Bappa came out. Somewhere Bappa is seen in the form of Devadhidev and somewhere Bal Ganesh. In Dadra, Rakholi, Naroli, Kilvani, Randha, Khanvel, Rudana, a large number of Srishti Vinayak were bid farewell with moist eyes. The number of Ganesh idols installed in Ganeshotsav this year is less as compared to other years, while the administration and police are also seen supporting the devotees. Police were seen patrolling the immersion ghats since afternoon. Usually four to five devotees wearing masks were coming to the immersion ghat. The lack of crowd also reduced the stress of police work.
