Dr. Pramod Sawant took oath as the Chief Minister of Goa for the second time on Monday. Eight MLAs also took oath as cabinet ministers in the grand swearing-in ceremony held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present in this swearing-in ceremony. Goa Governor P. Sreedharan Pillai along with Pramod Sawant administered the oath of office and secrecy to eight ministers in his cabinet in the presence of about 10,000 people.
Vishwajit P Rane, Mauvin Godinho, Ravi Naik, Nilesh Cabral, Subhash Shirodkar, Rohan Khunte, Govind Goude and Atanasio Monserrate took oath as ministers in the Sawant cabinet. The portfolios of these ministers have not yet been divided. Among these ministers are Rane, Godinho, Cabral and Goude, who were in the previous government. The new faces included in the cabinet are former CM Ravi Naik, former minister Rohan Khaunte and Panaji MLA Atanasio Monserrate.
All the ministers of Sawant’s cabinet are crorepati
All the ministers in Pramod Sawant’s cabinet are crorepatis. The richest minister in the Goa cabinet is Atanasio Monserrate, who has total assets of Rs 48.48 crore. Govind Gowde has assets worth Rs 2.67 crore. Gowde is also the minister with the least assets in the Sawant cabinet. Apart from this, Goa CM Pramod Sawant has assets of 9.37 crores, which is the third place among the ministers with the least assets. The other five ministers of Pramod Sawant’s cabinet have assets of more than 10 crores.
Talking about educational qualification, Ravi Naik is the most educated minister apart from CM Pramod Sawant, both are post graduates. The richest ministers are Atanasio Monserrate and Subhash Shirodkar the least educated ministers. Both these ministers are 12th pass. Of the other seven ministers, two are graduates, two are 12th pass and three ministers have diplomas.
Apart from Prime Minister Modi at the swearing-in ceremony, BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Narendra Singh Tomar, Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Arlekar and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai and Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan was present.
