BJP leader Prem Shukla said that during the Mulayam Singh Yadav government, work was done to stop the worship at Shringar Gauri temple, which is being demanded by the Hindu side.
BJP leader Prem Shukla said during a TV debate on the Hindu side, who reached the court to demand the right of regular worship in Shringar Gauri temple, “In 1996, on the day of Mahashivratri, I myself had performed abhishekam in Shringar Gauri temple and then there for 365 days. Abhishek was done. He said that the then UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav’s government had violated the Worship Act 1991. They had stopped regular worship in the temple, but now if someone is asking to restore it and the court is allowing it to be surveyed, then what is wrong with it?
Worship in temple stopped for Muslim appeasement: On the question of being outside the barricade of Shringar Gauri temple and stopping its worship, Prem Shukla said that Mulayam Singh Yadav’s government stopped worship in Shringar Gauri temple in 2004 only for Muslim appeasement. He said that even during the demolition of Babri in 1992, the worship in the temple did not stop.
The BJP leader raised the question that except India, the name of any one mosque in the world where there is a chakra, a conch shell and a temple is found? He said that a mosque cannot be built on the site of any other religion or at a disputed place, but here the temple was demolished, which is recorded in history.
What was the court’s decision? Regarding the survey in Gyanvapi Masjid, the Civil Court of Varanasi ordered a survey on the entire part of the mosque and directed to register an FIR against those who obstruct the survey. After hearing for three days and hearing the arguments of all the parties, the court rejected the objections of the petitioners from the Muslim side and said that the court commissioner Ajay Mishra would not be removed.
