According to the report of news website iamgujarat.com, a woman who ran her own beauty parlor committed suicide near Somanaru bus stand in Coimbatore. The case in which the police had caught the lover of the woman. According to information received from sources, Parineeta, who runs a beauty parlor, had fallen in love with 41-year-old V Muthupandi. Joe worked in a private company and was living separately from his wife and children for the last two years. Police said that Parineeta was identified with Muthupandi in the month of last December. After which both came close to each other. They both made a plan to escape. Due to which, on Tuesday, Parineeta called Gangadevi beauty parlor and gave all her jewelry to her lover. After getting the ornaments, Muthupandi tied Parineeta to a sari and killed her by closing her mouth.
Police said that when 39-year-old Gangadevi was coming back home from the beauty parlor, her husband went to the beauty parlor and checked. Where he saw that his wife was lying on the ground. Gangadevi told that three men entered her shop and raped her and stole her jewellery. But Gangadevi asked not to give any information about this to the police for fear of her slander. But husband Srinivasan told that nothing like this would happen and he took her to Karumthampatti police station the next day.
Gangadevi lied even in the police station so that her theft would not be caught. After writing a complaint, the police sent a police team to the beauty parlor for investigation and asked to bring the CCTV footage. Thereafter Parineeta and her husband went home. However, after this, when there was no one in the house, Gangadevi gave her life. Seeing the case getting even more complicated, senior police officers also joined the investigation. After Gangadevi committed suicide, the police started investigation based on her call details. In which the police came to know that Gangadevi and Muthupandi used to talk with each other for a long time.
When the police traced Muthupandi, his location was found from Udhagamandal in Nilgiri district. From where the police had taken him into custody. During interrogation it was revealed that there was a love affair between Muthupandi and Gangadevi. The police told that when Gangadevi came to the police station, she lied so that her bhanda did not break. But still he was feeling scared, due to which he committed suicide. According to Muthupandi’s confession, the police had lodged a complaint against him under various sections of the IPC. Police said that they have confiscated all the ornaments from Muthupandi and at present he has been taken on remand.
