Threats were being given to investors on asking for money back
Mariyur Ramdas Ganesh, a former leader of the traders’ wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and his brother Swaminathan have been accused of fraud of 600 crores. Posters of these two ‘helicopter brothers’ have been put up everywhere in Kumbakonam village of Tamil Nadu. Everyone has demanded to register a case against both the brothers, the police have also registered a case in this regard.
The Helicopter Brothers, originally from Tiruvarur, had moved to Kumbakonam six years ago, where they started dairying. After this he started a company named Victory Finance. In the year 2019, he had registered an air company named Arjun Aviation Private Limited. In which he got people to invest in the company by asking them to double the money.
In the beginning, both of them had given money to everyone. However, the situation worsened during the Corona epidemic. During Corona, when investors asked for their money back, they did not return the money. Due to which Zakarullah and Faraj Bano, who had invested in the company, had lodged a police complaint. The couple said that they had invested Rs 15 crore in the company of Helicopter Brothers.
When the couple asked for their money back, they were allegedly threatened. Apart from this, another investor Govindraj, who had deposited 25 lakhs in the company, said that he had invested money in the company of both the brothers by borrowing from his family and friends. In 2019, on the occasion of the birthday of his first child, Ganesh had dropped flowers from a helicopter. Since then they were known as the Helicopter Brothers. At present, the police has taken the manager of the company into custody.
