Filed a complaint against the neighbor for killing a pet with a stick
Patna, July 17 (IANS)| Bihar’s Kaimur Police has received a complaint of alleged ‘murder’ of a billy goat (male goat) in the district. An official gave this information. The crime of the goat was that he went to a goat on Thursday, which angered the goat’s owner. The incident is of Chaurasia village on Thursday. According to the statement of the goat’s owner Radha Devi, her pet had gone to Seepu Ram’s goat in the adjoining house.
Radha Devi while talking to local reporters at Mohania police station said, “Seepu saw this and beat my pet with sticks till it died. I was in the field for sowing paddy. Somebody informed me that Seepu was thrashing my goat. I immediately went there. On the spot with a stick in hand. He also threatened me with dire consequences.”
Radha Devi said, “I want action against Seepu Ram. A sub-inspector of our village suggested that I go to Mohaniya police station and file a written complaint against the accused. It is a case of cruelty to an animal. Mentioned the incident and lodged a complaint at Mohania police station.” The investigating officer of the case said, “We have received a complaint related to cruelty to a pet animal, which led to its death. The complainant also brought the goat’s body to the police station. We sent the body of Billy Goat to the veterinary hospital for postmortem. And the report is awaited.”
“We have done the postmortem and the report will be ready in 3 to 4 days,” said Dr Ravi Shankar, in-charge of the veterinary hospital in Mohania. This is not the first such case in Kaimur district. In November 2019, seven people in connection with the murder of a rooster A case was registered against him.
