Out of 45 ministers who took oath in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet of Uttar Pradesh, 22 ministers have criminal cases registered against them and most of them have serious charges against them. Uttar Pradesh Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) have analyzed the affidavits of a total of 45 ministers.
According to the ADR report, 49 per cent (22) ministers of the Yogi cabinet have given information about criminal cases registered against them in their affidavits. At the same time, 20 ministers (44 percent) have given information about serious allegations against themselves. A total of 52 ministers were sworn in in the Yogi cabinet, including two deputy CMs.
After analysis of affidavits by ADR, information has come out that there are 39 ministers (87 percent) of Yogi cabinet whose assets are one crore or more and their average assets are estimated at 9 crores. Of these 45 ministers, five are women. According to the information provided by the ADR, 9 (20%) ministers have declared their educational qualifications between class VIII and XII, while 36 (80%) ministers in the Yogi cabinet are graduates.
At the same time, the assets or criminal history of 8 ministers of Yogi Adityanath cabinet has not been analyzed. Affidavits of Nishad party chief and cabinet minister Sanjay Nishad apart from Jitin Prasada were not available for analysis. While ministers JPS Rathore, Narendra Kashyap, Dinesh Pratap Singh, Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, Jaswant Saini and Danish Azad Ansari were also not analyzed as they are neither members of the state assembly nor the legislative council at present.
According to the affidavit, Mayankeshwar Singh, who won from Tiloi assembly, is the richest minister with assets worth Rs 58.07 crore. The least asset is that of MLC Dharamveer Singh, who has declared his assets of Rs 42.91 lakh. Apart from this, there are 20 (per cent) ministers, whose age is between 30 and 50 years. Also, the age of 25 (56%) ministers is between 51 and 70 years.
