Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Thursday that 210 announcements of the upcoming budget of the state have been approved and the benefits of some of these announcements will be available to the public from Friday, that is, from the new financial year. Gehlot said that these include increasing the sum insured per family from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh under the Chiranjeevi Yojana and free OPD and IPD in all government hospitals in the state.
Gehlot said, “The people of the opposition were misleading the people as to how this budget would be implemented. In compliance with the Budget 2022-23, 210 announcements have been approved till date. Some of these major announcements are as follows, whose benefits will be available to my people from tomorrow. He presented the budget for the financial year 2022-23 on 23 February.
He said that the people consuming 100 units of electricity per month would get 50 units of electricity free of cost in the announcements whose benefits are going to be available to the public from the new financial year starting tomorrow. He said that a grant of Rs.3 per unit up to 150 units and Rs.2 per unit for 150 to 300 units would be given by the state government to all domestic consumers. He said that 1.18 crore families would be benefited by this.
Similarly, the sum insured per family of Chiranjeevi Yojana will be increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, he said. He said that 1.34 crore families would be benefitted by this. He said that at the same time OPD and IPD would be free of cost in all government hospitals of the state. He said that the ‘trial’ of this scheme will run for one month and by removing the technical problems during this period, this scheme will be fully implemented from May 1.
He said that similarly, instead of 100 days, 125 days of employment would be provided under MNREGA scheme. Gehlot said that under the Mukhyamantri Dugdh Sambal Yojna, the subsidy on milk to cattle owners will increase from Rs 2 per liter to Rs 5 per liter, which will benefit 5 lakh milk producers.
Gehlot said that due to the implementation of Old Pension Scheme (OPS), 10% deduction of New Pension Scheme (NPS) from the salary of government employees appointed after January 1, 2004 will be stopped. He said that also, for cashless treatment of these employees and family, unlimited medical facilities will be available instead of the limit of Rs 5 lakh. He said that this would benefit 5 lakh employees and their families.
