In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had reached the honor program of the sweepers. During this, a different form of Union Minister Scindia was seen. Actually Scindia had arrived as the chief guest in this program. But as soon as the lamp lighting program was about to start, Scindia suddenly got off the stage and took the hand of a lady sweeper present in the program and brought him on the stage with him.
Union Minister Scindia also got women sweepers worshiped in the program and made the woman sit in the line of special guests. During this, Jyotiraditya Scindia, respecting another woman sweeper, also touched her feet and hugged her. Scindia was seen doing this publicly for the first time and the video of this event is also becoming very viral on social media.
After the program, Jyotiraditya Scindia while talking to the media said, “The feet of the gods are touched and these sweepers are our gods.” People have seen this form of Scindia for the first time. However, this is not new for BJP leaders. Earlier, the Prime Minister had washed the feet of sanitation workers while honoring them during the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. PM Modi also keeps motivating people to respect the sanitation workers. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also washed the feet of sanitation workers in Bhopal while felicitating them.
Scindia left Congress and joined BJP in March 2020 and many Congress MLAs also joined BJP with him, which led to the fall of Kamal Nath government of Congress in Madhya Pradesh. Scindia was made a Rajya Sabha MP by the BJP and has also been made a minister at the Centre.
Please tell that Gwalior had claimed 7 stars in cleanliness rating but presently Gwalior has got 3 stars cleanliness rating. On the other hand, Indore has got a 5 star cleanliness rating. Many programs are being run by the local administration to improve the cleanliness rating of Gwalior. Gwalior Municipal Corporation claims that the cleanliness rating of Gwalior deteriorated due to a contract. For the disposal of dry waste, the corporation had issued a tender which was raised for Rs 60 lakh, but the contractor surrendered it expressing his inability to do the work.
