During Navratri in Karauli, Rajasthan, there is a debate going on across the country regarding the situation like riots and imposition of curfew. There is a lot of debate about this on TV channels. During the debate with Aaj Tak anchor Chitra Tripathi, there was a fierce dispute between BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra and Congress spokesperson Mukesh Sharma.
Congress spokesperson Mukesh Sharma said that “I am a Brahmin, anchor Sahiba you are a Brahmin and I am a bigger Brahmin than you.” On this, Sambit Patra said that “The biggest Brahmin of Congress does not know where is hidden, who wears Janeu over the coat.” To this Mukesh Sharma said that “You do not make personal comments. There is no need to take proof from BJP to get the certificate of Brahmin.
Sambit Patra said that during Ramzan in Rajasthan, the Congress government said that “the Muslim areas which are there will be lit with electricity. They will never say that even Hindu areas will be illuminated. Then they will become secular. Haven’t heard Hindu areas from the mouth of any Congress leader, Hindu areas are not in their dictionary. They do politics of appeasement. Will speak for only one section.”
Recently, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot had said that there should be no power cut in Muslim dominated areas during Ramzan. Apart from this, the State Energy Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati had issued an order to the officers saying that there should be no power cut in Muslim-majority areas during Ramzan. In this regard, orders have also been issued by the power distribution companies.
However, controversy arose over this order. Navratri is also going on these days along with Ramadan. The BJP alleges that none of the ministers said that there should be no power cut in Hindu-dominated areas during Navratri. Orders were given only for Ramzan and Muslim dominated areas. Leader of Opposition in the state Gulabchand Kataria said that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will distribute electricity on the basis of religion, the public did not expect such a thing from him.
