Now Kashmiri Pandits working in government service have written a letter to the LG of the state, appealing that they should be safely evacuated from the valley. On the other hand, the students are furious over the dismissal of a chemistry professor.
Safe take- All PM Package Employees Forum wrote in a letter to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on 14 May – “We PM package employees and non-PM package workers request you to kindly take us out of Kashmir safely and save us. Sir, if your not able to do that, we are ready to give mass resignation…Kashmir is not safe for us.”
Moreover, in the letter he has written that he is ready to serve anywhere in the world but not in Kashmir. The letter said- “We are not able to live here… we are being killed here daily.”
Let us inform that in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists shot dead Revenue Department employee Rahul Bhat on Thursday afternoon. After which the already scared Kashmiri Pandits are now demanding to be removed from the valley.
Students rallied in favor of Professor- A day after Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha sacked Kashmir University chemistry professor Dr Altaf Hussain Pandit, students staged a sit-in on the university campus demanding his reinstatement. This is being seen for the first time when the dismissal of a government employee is being protested. The professor has been sacked for allegedly being a “threat to the security of the state”.
The students say that the government should reconsider its decision and the professor should be reinstated.
