Nitin Gadkari opened his years old secret in the Journalists’ Council held in Sohna, Haryana
India’s Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari is in the news due to his new policies related to road and traffic. Once again Nitin Gadkari has come in the discussion, although this time the reason for his coming in the discussion is not a new policy by him but he has a secret. The secret that Nitin Gadkari had kept hidden from his wife for years. Nitin Gadkari, who was present in a program in Sohna, Haryana, while addressing the program, shared this secret with the officers and journalists present there.
Nitin Gadkari shared his secret that when he was newly married, his father-in-law’s house was coming in the middle of the road for a road project. Due to the construction of a new road, the movement of people would have become easier and for this it was necessary to remove that house. That’s why he got a bulldozer run at his own father-in-law’s house. Nitin said that he had not told this to anyone.
In fact, Nitin Gadkari shared this anecdote because the work of Union Minister Inderjit Singh Rao, done shortly before, had also done something similar. When the house coming in the middle of the construction of the road was ordered to be vacated and demolished. Nitin Gadkari said that leaders should do the same. They should not encourage encroachment.
Apart from this, in the press conference, Nitin Gadkari also answered many questions regarding toll tax. Responding to people’s questions, Nitin Gadkari gave the example of marriage and said that if you want to get married and want an AC hall for that, then you will have to pay money for it. Otherwise the marriage can take place in an open field. In the budget of one lakh crore of the ministry, if they want to build a road worth 15 lakh crores, then they will have to take money from investors. Now if money has been taken from investors, then they will have to give it back. In such a situation, only toll tax can prove to be helpful in this.
