At present, the mortal remains are being sent from the spot for post-mortem, while the farmers are also now moving towards their respective destinations. Talking to IANS, Prashant Kumar ADG Law and Order on this whole issue said, “We talked to the farmers’ organizations and many people, in which it was clarified that the government has already expressed regret over this incident. It has also been said by the government that the guilty will not be spared. Strict action will be taken against those who are guilty in this incident.

He said, a compensation of Rs 45 lakh will be given to the dead, 10 lakh will be given to the injured as well as a judicial inquiry has been ordered by a retired high court judge into this entire sequence of events. Apart from this, a member of the family of the deceased will be given a job at the local level according to his qualifications. Will 4 dead be given compensation or 5? Because farmers are demanding for 5 people. In response to this question, Prashant Kumar said, till now there are only 4 people on his side. If there is any such demand, then the government will definitely take a decision in it accordingly.

However, farmer leaders have appealed to all their farmers to open the jams set up at various places. Earlier, a joint press conference was held between the farmer leaders and the administration, after which the farmers leaders also addressed the farmers present at the site of the incident. At present, the situation of tension prevailing at the site has started to subside, on the other hand, farmer leaders have asked the family members to perform the last rites according to their own customs. Before this, the post-mortem of the dead will be done in front of a team of five doctors and under the supervision of the camera.

However, at the places where the vehicles were burnt, the farmers are still standing in the crowd gathering and taking pictures. Internet services have not started in the district yet, although the farmers have also said that we have an agreement, now internet service should be started. At present, a large number of police force, SSB and RAF personnel have been deployed in the area. At the same time, there is a peaceful atmosphere in the area.
