More than 3 crore people have taken the first vaccine of Corona, Chief Minister and Health Minister congratulated the health workers
Mumbai, July 26 (IANS)| Maharashtra has become the first state in the country to achieve the major milestone of completely immunizing more than one crore people against COVID-19. A top official gave this information on Monday. Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Pradeep Vyas said, “The total number of people who received both the doses of Kovid-19 vaccine here reached 1,00,64,308 till 4 pm today (Monday), a big achievement.”
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Health Minister Rajesh Tope lauded the efforts of the health department to reach the record figure of administering both doses of vaccine to over one crore population. Tope said that so far 3,16,09,227 people have been administered the first dose in the state and the state has got a total of 4,13,19,105 vaccinations (1st and 2nd dose) till Sunday. On an average, more than 100,000 people are being vaccinated daily in the largest-ever immunization drive at about 4,100 centers in 36 districts of the state.
