Wardha. Maharashtra State Primary Teachers Committee has asked School Education Minister Varsha to provide mid-day meals to students at school level under the school nutrition diet scheme, to buy edible oil at school level and to increase the grant immediately, taking into account the market price or supply of edible oil. Sent memorandum to Gaikwad.
After the spread of corona infection came under control, the state government decided to start the school in the presence of the students. Students started coming to the school after two and a half years. But due to the lack of mid-day meal, the attendance of students in schools is low. The decision to resume mid-day meals in the school is a good one from the point of view of nutrition for the students of poor, needy families.
But in view of the rising inflation, cost of fuel, vegetable, oil, it is difficult to spend per day, taking into account the rate fixed for vegetables, per student, per fuel, and now the newly revised rate per student. But now it is not possible to cook and supply nutrition in school as per daily rules by ordering to purchase Agmark soybean oil at school level. For classes one to five, Rs 2.29 was used to buy pre-fuel and vegetables at the school level. The oil was available from the supplier. Now the provision of fuel, vegetables, per day has been increased from only 39 paise to Rs 2.68.
Especially soybean oil is also reported to be bought from this, but now it is not possible due to inflation. If the number of students from class 1 to 5 is 100. 268 rupees are available for purchase, due to which it is not possible to spend a day. For classes 6 to 8, there was a provision of Rs 3.44 as pre-fuel, vegetable expenses. Now this provision has been made 4.02. That is, a grant of Rs 402 is available for 100 students. But if you take out Rs 170 of oil in it, then it is not possible to spend Rs 261 on it. For this reason, the demand for increasing this grant has been made in the memorandum.
