Got an abortion by paying money to suppress the matter
A shocking case has come to light in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district, where a police constable has committed a heinous crime like raping a minor girl. The posting of the accused constable was in Kadaba police station. A case has been registered against the constable.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s father, the minor girl had come to Kadaba police station two years ago to register a case of rape. Since then the accused police constable has started going to his house. The victim’s father said in the complaint that the constable was coming to his house on the pretext of issuing summons. The accused also promised to marry the girl, on the basis of which he continued to physically abuse her.
The incident came to light when the victim came to know that she was five and a half months pregnant. After this, when the victim’s father asked the accused constable to marry his daughter, he flatly refused and offered to get an abortion. Not only this, the accused said, he will also bear all the expenses of the abortion. The accused also paid Rs 35,000 for the abortion of the victim, after which the victim was aborted.
After this the accused took both the daughter and the mother with him. The daughter and mother told that they have been kept at an unknown place. The victim’s father said that the girl and her mother have been missing since September 18 and their whereabouts are not known. Dakshina Kannada Police has started investigation by taking the accused into custody. Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police Sonawane told Rishikesh Bhagwan that the accused police constable is in custody and the matter is being investigated.
