Politics has been heated in the state after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray warned of reciting Hanuman Chalisa if the loudspeakers were not removed from mosques. Meanwhile, Independent MP from Amravati Navneet Rana and MLA from Badnera Ravi Rana, who announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa outside ‘Matoshree’, have created a stir in Maharashtra politics. On one hand, Ravi Rana and Navneet Rana stick to their announcement while on the other hand, the ruckus of Shiv Sainiks continues after their house. Before joining politics, Navneet Rana has acted in South Indian films.
Navneet Rana has worked with veteran actors like Vijayakanth, Jr NTR and Mammootty. Navneet Rana has good command over seven languages. Navneet Rana’s life changed drastically after his meeting with Yoga Guru Ramdev. She is said to have met Ravi Rana at Baba Ramdev’s yoga camp, after which the two took the relationship ahead after Baba Ramdev’s approval and married in a mass marriage ceremony in 2011.
Despite Ravi Rana leading various movements planned by Ramdev against the Congress-led UPA government at the Center before 2014, Navneet Rana was able to get a ticket from the UPA constituent NCP against Shiv Sena MP Anandrao Adsul in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Was successful. However, even this ticket did not deter the Rana couple from supporting the BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra. Navneet Rana had to face defeat in this election.
At the same time, Navneet Rana once again tried his luck in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Now he contested as an independent candidate and where NCP supported him. Navneet Rana got victory in this election and thus she was elected MP from Amravati.

Amidst the announcement of Raj Thackeray, Navneet Rana, MP from Amravati, along with her husband and MLA Ravi Rana and supporters had announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa outside the residence of Shiv Sena Chief and CM Uddhav Thackeray. After this, hundreds of Shiv Sena workers gathered outside the house of MP Navneet Rana and created a ruckus. The security personnel present on the spot also failed to convince the Shiv Sainiks.
