Babar, a BJP supporter, was lynched to death by his neighbors in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. This matter is now gaining momentum and CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to the officials to take strict action in this matter. Babar was a resident of Kathgharhi village under Ramkola police station area of Kushinagar and used to campaign for BJP during election campaign. Babar had also distributed sweets in his village after the BJP’s victory on March 10.
This act of Babur angered his Muslim neighbors and on 20 March Babur raised the slogan of Jai Shri Ram, which further angered him. Angry neighbors entered Babar’s house and thrashed him on March 20 and then threw him off the terrace, leading to his death. Babur’s wife told that women along with men had beaten Babur and then threw him down from the roof. Babur was taken to the nearest hospital, where doctors referred Babar to Lucknow. Babur died on his way to Lucknow.
Speaking to India TV, Minister of State in the Yogi government, Danish Azad Ansari on the killing of BJP supporter Babar, said, “This incident shows that there is intolerance among those who do not like development. I express my condolences to Babur’s family. I assure him that he has lost his one son but Yogi ji has said that he has another son in Yogi ji.
Danish Ansari further said that I assure you that Yogi Adityanath ji will do the work of providing complete justice to that family and you will see that strictest action will be taken against those who are of criminal nature and are involved in this incident and set an example. Will last Whoever runs according to the law will remain in Uttar Pradesh.
On Saturday evening, the family brought Babar’s body home and for a long time, his family members and BJP supporters created a ruckus demanding justice. BJP MLA PN Pathak also reached the spot and assured the family that action would be taken against the culprits. Then the family members handed over the dead body.
