A major accident took place between two cargo ships in the Arabian Sea near Okha. The collision between two ships, MV Aviator and MV Atlantic Grace, caused a major accident. As soon as the accident was reported, the Indian Coast Guard arrived in time and acted promptly to rescue 43 crew members of both the ships. Luckily there was no major casualty in this accident. However, despite the fact that there is currently no chance of oil spill off the coast of Gujarat, the Indian Coast Guard has begun an assessment of marine pollution.
According to the information, two ships collided in the Arabian Sea near Okha. The incident happened on the night of 26 November at around 9:30. However, the cause of the accident between the two ships is yet to be ascertained. After the incident, both the ships sought the help of the Indian security agency. The team rescued 43 crew members from the ship. Of these, 21 Indian crew members were on board the MV My Atlantic Grace, while 22 Filipino crew members were on board the My Aviator, Philippines.
Since the accident, efforts have been made by the Indian Coast Guard to prevent oil spills and water pollution from both the ships. There was no major casualty.
