PM Modi unveiled the statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya in Kedarnath today. The famous sculptor Yogiraj Shilpi of Mysore has carved the idol of Shankaracharya on a 120-ton stone.

Along with the unveiling of the statue of Adi Shankaracharya, PM Modi will unveil a multi-crore project today, as well as a Rs 150-crore project for the second phase. Adiguru Shankaracharya’s tomb is specially designed in Kedarnath. The idol is polished with coconut water to make it shine. Under the guidance of PM Modi, the Samadhi of Adiguru Shankaracharya has been prepared with a special design under the reconstruction work of Kedarnath Dham. The tomb of Adiguru Shankaracharya has been excavated in six meters of land behind the Kedarnath temple.
Preparation for connecting 12 Jyotirlingas online:
Sculptors from across the country presented their designs for the construction of the statue of Adiguru Shankaracharya. After which Yogiraj Shilpi got the contract to make the statue from the Prime Minister’s Office. In the center of the tomb is an idol made by sculptors from Mysore. Preparations are also underway to connect 12 Jyotirlingas established in all directions of the country including Kedarnath online.
