More than 16 people died due to lightning in different parts of the state
There was heavy rain yesterday in Pink City Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. The incident of lightning was also seen along with the rain. In such a situation, more than 16 people died due to heavy rain and lightning. Also, more than 35 people were injured when lightning struck the watch tower in front of Amer Mahal in Jaipur. Expressing grief over the deaths in this natural accident, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.

Let us tell you that after the incident of lightning, 29 people have been rescued from Amer Phot area. All the rescued people have been taken to the hospital. Information about the death of 16 people has come to the fore in the hospital. Apart from Jaipur, there were incidents of lightning in Kota, Dholpur, Baran and Jhalawar in which many people lost their lives.

Let us tell you that according to the Meteorological Department, 63 mm i.e. 20 inches of rain was recorded in Jaipur within an hour. This is more than the total 40 mm of rain received in the entire month in July 2020 last year.
