In Rajasthan, instead of being under control, the situation is getting worse. When the police controlled the violence and tension in Jodhpur and Karauli, the atmosphere in Bhilwara deteriorated. After the attack on two youths on Wednesday night, their motorcycles were burnt. This angered the people. Angry people sat there on dharna. In a hurry, a large number of police were deployed there. On the other hand, curfew has been extended in Jodhpur till 12 midnight on May 6. Internet services will also remain suspended. CM Ashok Gehlot said, “We have brought the situation under control, due to this there was not a single death in Karauli, Rajgarh and Jodhpur.”
According to TV media reports, two boys were attacked with baseball sticks late at night in Bhilwara, then their bikes were burnt. Due to this tension prevailed in the area. On the other hand, Superintendent of Police Adarsh Sidhu said, “There has been an incident in Sanganer town under Subhashnagar police station, in which two people were assaulted by some people. We have got some clues, the accused are being identified. The accused will be caught as soon as possible. Maintain peace and order.”
Bhilwara DC Ashish Modi said, “We are also checking the CCTV footage of the surroundings. One person suffered minor injuries while the other suffered minor head injuries and is in a stable condition. I appeal to the people not to pay heed to rumours and maintain peace in the area.”
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has blamed BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh for the violence in Jodhpur. Said that after one and a half years there is an election in the state. So the targeting has already started. Both BJP and RSS have instructed their workers to defame the government and the CM in any form.”
He said that in view of this, his workers are doing the same kind of work. The CM said that behind the violence there is a well-planned conspiracy of the BJP. It is these people who get riots done and then spread rumors and violence.
It is being told about the dispute in Jodhpur that a clash broke out between two communities after taking down the saffron flag at Balmukand Bisa circle of Jalori Gate intersection and hoisting flags with Islamic symbols in its place. After the incident, heavy stone pelting started in both the communities at midnight. Several people were injured in the violence. Now the police have arrested 141 people in this case. Of these, 133 have been arrested under section 151 and 8 in other cases. The police is now starting interrogation of these accused about the whole incident.
