The differences within the Congress party in Gujarat have deepened. Party’s youth leader and working president Hardik Patel on Wednesday resigned from the primary membership of the party. He had been angry for some time. He alleges that there is no work left for him in the party. A few days ago, he had openly expressed his displeasure. He had said that “my condition in Congress is as if the new groom has been sterilized.”
On Wednesday, making his resignation public on Twitter, he wrote, “Today I courageously resign from the post of Congress Party and primary membership of the party. I am sure that my decision will be welcomed by all my colleagues and the people of Gujarat. I believe that after this step of mine, I will be able to work really positively for Gujarat in future.”
Hardik Patel also changed the profile photo on Twitter shortly after his resignation. Earlier he had put that photo, in which the Congress election symbol paw was also seen with him, but in the current photo he is seen with his hands tied.
Earlier, he had said that he was inducted into the Congress party by Rahul Gandhi himself and made working president in 2020. Yuva Patidar leader Hardik Patel had said, “I am not invited to any meeting of the PCC, they do not consult me before taking any decision, so what is the point of this post?”
